Waiting in the doctor’s office for the results of my first blood-marker test to see if the cancer was gone, I wondered what I would do when I was back in control of my life. Would it be business as usual? Would I sell my possessions and travel? Would I throw caution to the wind and follow my heart? After all, I wasn’t supposed to be alive. If the news was good, it would be a new beginning, another chance. What should I do, what would I do, what could I do? Anything I wanted – or so I thought.

Finally, the doctor came in and said, “Your blood markers are in the normal range. The cancer is gone, so take your meds and come back in three months.” Hooray!!! This was the news I was waiting for; now that I had the green light, what was I going to do? Leaving the doctor’s office, I thought about it for a while and realized that I couldn’t do anything I had imagined just a few minutes earlier. I was too weak, I felt sick, and I looked worse – my skin was gray, I had no hair, my fingertips were numb, and my eyes hurt.

Then, I had a “light-bulb moment” – I would use that time to get healthy. In three months, I would go back for another blood-marker test and, with any luck, the doctor would say again that the cancer was gone. Being in the beauty business and already researching for a women’s wellness center, I had access to all the resources I needed to get healthy, so I got started.

The first thing I did was to analyze what had just happened to me, which was that I had been seriously poisoned in order to save my life. I realized that the chemotherapy, in addition to killing the cancer cells, had done a number on my organs, I decided to start by detoxifying.  I needed to clean my organs, liver, kidneys, lungs, blood, and intestines.

Not wanting to add chemicals to my body, I chose to go the homeopathic way. Homeopathic medicine and homeopathic remedies are based on a natural medical science that works with your body to stimulate your own natural defenses, so I began searching the area for homeopathic healthcare providers. I met with a Chinese pharmacist. We talked about my health situation and I answered questions, then the pharmacist proposed several homeopathic remedies to get me healthy again.

I purchased the remedies he suggested, and then I was given a schedule for the treatments and was asked to come back in three months. Great! I was excited to get started on my journey back to my naturally healthy state, so I took my homeopathic remedies three times a day and kept track of everything on a chart. It was funny, taking these little fizzy pills under my tongue, others were powders using a measured teaspoon or tablespoon, some pills. I hung a chart on the kitchen wall & created a holding area for all my bottles. I think it may have been in excess of 15 bottles. Even though it may sound like a lot, it was fun. I was doing something for me. I was back in control, I was seeing the difference, I was feeling the difference, and I was happy. The cancer was gone.

I noticed that I smelled terrible: body odor, really bad. Also, my tongue had a thick coating, so I used a tongue scraper to keep it clean. On the plus side, my eyes became clear and bright and my skin color was almost rosy. Soon, food tasted better and the fuzzy feeling in my head went away. The numbness in my fingers took a little longer but, eventually, it too was just a distant memory.

Three months went by.  Back to the doctor.  Blood markers are all within normal ranges. Go back to the Chinese pharmacist. Doing well. 3 more months on maintenance. All is good…cancer is still gone A new lifestyle is emerging and I’m having fun.

WOW… I’m living life again.
