Introspection — Overrated

How did this happen?

I’m wearing sensible shoes.

My blue jeans have elastic in the waist.

I signed up for Twitter and find I have nothing to say.

My hair is in a rut but I’m working on it.

I’m more sentimental than at any other time of my life.

I need to go on a(nother) diet.

My friends have scattered.  Or I have.

I’m afraid of more things than ever.

People younger than I are dying.

Bucket list time is running out.

I finally understand the Blues.

Christmas lights make me happy all year ’round.

I wonder if God moved away, or I did.

I see two very real lifelines intersecting — on one, I’m growing older every day, and on the other I’m happier than I’ve ever been.  Once their timelines cross, I worry about what might change.

Fall.  A good time for reflection.  That’s enough of that for this year.
