We’re ba-ack! from a short break and Vicki is taking the Summer off to enjoy some well-earned family time. She’s promised to pop in from time to time over the next few months (whew!) and let us all know what she thinks about the topic of the day and to straighten me out.
It’s been a wild couple of weeks for me as well, so I wanted to ease back into BROADSIDED with a dear friend and colleague – Colin Lively. Colin of course, hosts his own show every Friday on Here Women Talk, has a night time talk show with Judy Stadt of The Lunch and Judy Show Fame and he’s still styling for the stars and traveling the country. Colin has just returned from another fantastic trip to Cleveland (Cleveland ROCKS!) and he and I are ready to take on the world!
The one thing Colin and I do whenever we talk is share our thoughts on current events, so we’re going to do just that this week – take the top stories, one by one and shine a light on them the way the Conservative Media never will. We’re also going to share with you just what events in our lives moved us to the Left.

The censure of Michigan House Democrat Lisa Brown for her use of the word “vagina” on the house floor.
The increasingly vile campaign ads flooding the airwaves, 5 months before the election.
Republican voter suppression tactics.
The Jerry Sandusky child molestation trial.
I’ll wrap up with my “Special Comment” about the Jerry Sandusky Trial.
