Author, Tricia Erickson

Never let it be said that the ladies of BROADSIDED aren’t open-minded enough to look at both sides of every issue. Conservative pundit, Tricia Erickson is an author, a former Mormon and the daughter of a Mormon Bishop – and she has a lot to say on the topic of Willard “Mitt” Romney and why he’s not fit to be President of the United States. While most of us concern ourselves with his public policy, Tricia is far more concerned with Mr. Romney’s religious beliefs, and she’ll share with us why those are far more dangerous than any public policy to which he may adhere. She claims Mitt Romney believes the following:

• He will become a “god” in the afterlife
• Satan is Jesus’ literal brother
• Jesus was NOT born of a virgin birth
• He will be given his own afterlife kingdom/planet where he will call his wife, Ann, into in order to have relations to populate his kingdom with spirit children
• Country first?- – -Mitt Romney has sworn in the secret Mormon Temple Ceremonies to The Law of Consecration: “to consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church), for the building up of the (Mormon) Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion”.
Even as President of the US, the Mormon prophet would have more authority over Mitt Romney than The Office Of The Presidency…Mitt’s very eternal life and salvation depends on it.

Moreover, she calls Willard Romney “The Father of Gay Marriage in America”, perhaps the most dangerous public policy of all – something that endangers the family institution and our children. She’s also believes he’s secretly for abortion and funded the killing of babies with public money while Governor of Massachusetts.

She’s the author of a book called “Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Masters?: The Mormon Church versus the Office of The Presidency of The United States of America” Tricia is presently the President of Angel Pictures & Publicity, and also Crisis Management, Incorporated.  This should most certainly be a lively conversation.

Rounding out the hour will be Miriam Gerace, spokesperson for S.A.F.E., an organization dedicated to changing the death penalty laws in California. The SAFE California Act will replace California’s death penalty with a sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole as the maximum punishment for murder. This means convicted killers will remain behind bars forever – with no risk of executing an innocent person. They also address other facets of the death penalty:

Savings: Many people think that the death penalty is cheaper than life without parole. That is just not true. California taxpayers will save well over $100 million every year without releasing a single prisoner.
Accountability: Convicted killers will be held accountable and pay for their crimes. SAFE California requires persons convicted of murder to work and pay restitution into a victim’s compensation fund.
Full Enforcement: The SAFE California Fund* takes $30 million a year for three years in budget savings and puts it into the investigation of unsolved rape and murder cases. Our limited law enforcement dollars should be used to solve more crimes, to get more criminals off our streets, and to protect our families.
*Money for the SAFE California Fund comes directly from closing three state agencies that currently handle expensive and extensive appeals for death penalty cases. The SAFE California Fund gives a temporary boost to local law enforcement budgets at a time of severe budget shortfalls.
