Dorf Linehan Kaffl, on March 29, 2012, asked:
“What if you do not have a PayPal account? What should Bio include?”
If you win, you’ll need a Paypal account to receive payment, but it’s very, very easy to set one up. If you are the winner, you can then look into opening a Paypal account. Your bio can include as little or as much as you want to say about yourself, as long as it does not exceed 100 words. To get some ideas, you may want to peruse the bios of the bloggers on this site, Thanks for your interest. Good luck!
Must the picture of the author be a face-shot? For multiple reasons, I keep my face and pen name both discrete and discreet from one another, but I’d like to submit an entry.
Yes you can submit without a face-shot.
Is this writing contest only for the US, or can Canadians also enter the contest?
Anyone in any country can enter. The top three finalists will be featured on the home page, and the winner will receive $100 in U.S. dollars paid to the winner’s Paypal account. Hope you will enter. Good luck!
What if you do not have a PayPal account?
What should Bio include?
Thank you!
How exciting… I just finished a short story. I am new to the group and looking forward to meeting new people.
Brenda
I hope you submit your short story to the contest! 🙂
Welcome, Brenda. Hope you’ll submit!
Does “published” count if it was just on your blog? I’ve recently written something I’d like to submit.
Hi Elizabeth. Yes, if it was already on a blog on HWT or anywhere, it would be “published” and therefore ineligible. Bummer, right? Thanks for your interest.
How to vote?
We will have a poll to vote after the deadline to submit your writing.
OMG!!! I’m so excited my head is spinning with possibilities!!!
Wonderful, Fae. I’m so glad you’re submitting!
Great way to promote women, Kay.
I look forward to submitting a piece for your contest.
Xx
Wonderful, Kim! You can submit in each of the three categories. Hope you’ll share with your friends. xoxo
Do you want the actual written piece to be sent in as an attachment, or in the body of the email? Thanks.
Either way, Keddy. What ever is easier for you. Hope you’ll enter all three categories and encourage others to enter, too!
great idea! i might even give it a go!!!
Excellent, Karen. I hope you do. You’re a great writer.
