1. Our Commitment to Copyright Protection
Here Women Talk was founded in 2010 as a platform where women from diverse backgrounds could share their experiences, opinions, creativity, and perspectives.
Originally established as an online social community, HereWomenTalk.com has evolved into a traditional publishing and informational website. The site continues to feature articles, photographs, commentary, creative works, and archived contributions from its earlier community.
We respect the intellectual property rights of authors, photographers, artists, publishers, and other content creators.
This policy establishes procedures for addressing copyright infringement claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
2. Copyright Ownership and Archived Content
HereWomenTalk.com contains both editorially published content and materials originally contributed by members of its former social network.
Unless otherwise established by an applicable agreement, copyright in independently contributed works remains with the respective copyright owners.
The continued appearance of historical contributions does not imply that Here Women Talk claims ownership of those works.
Contributors and copyright owners may contact us regarding questions about attribution, publication permissions, or archived material.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that material appearing on HereWomenTalk.com infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notification.
To be effective under the DMCA, your notification must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including its specific URL on HereWomenTalk.com or sufficient information to locate it.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address, if available.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

Where applicable, we will take reasonable steps to notify the contributor responsible for the material.
Removal of content in response to a copyright complaint does not necessarily constitute an admission or determination of infringement.
6. Counter-Notification Procedure
If material you contributed was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated DMCA agent.
Your counter-notification must contain:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and its former location on the website.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States Federal District Court under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), and agreeing to accept service of process from the party who submitted the original notification or that party’s agent.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will follow the applicable DMCA procedures, including forwarding the counter-notification to the original complaining party.
Where required by law, removed material may be restored between 10 and 14 business days after receipt of a valid counter-notification, unless we receive notice of a qualifying court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.
7. Requests From Original Contributors
We recognize that many articles, personal stories, creative works, and photographs on HereWomenTalk.com originated during its years as an active social network.
Original contributors who wish to request removal, correction of attribution, or review of previously submitted content may contact us through the website’s contact page.
Such requests will be evaluated according to the applicable publication agreements, copyright ownership, and relevant legal obligations.
A contributor’s request to withdraw previously published material is not necessarily a DMCA infringement complaint and may be handled separately.
8. Repeat Infringer Policy
HereWomenTalk.com maintains a policy providing for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of users or contributors who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
Although the website no longer operates as a traditional social network, this policy applies to any current or future contributor accounts, submission privileges, or other applicable user access.
We reserve the right to reject submissions, remove content, suspend publishing privileges, or terminate access when appropriate.
9. Good-Faith Complaints and Misrepresentation
We encourage copyright owners and contributors to communicate legitimate concerns regarding the use of their intellectual property.
Knowingly making materially false statements in a DMCA notification or counter-notification may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees.
10. Policy Changes
HereWomenTalk.com reserves the right to update this policy to reflect changes in copyright law, website operations, or administrative procedures.
The current version will be published on this website.
