No topic is taboo. That’s been true since 2010 — and it still is.
Here Women Talk started as a place for women to speak and be heard, regardless of religion, politics, or background. Over the years our contributors have written columns, launched podcasts, and even helped free a trafficked teen. That spirit hasn’t gone anywhere — we’re just getting louder again.
We’re actively looking for new and returning voices to write for the blog. Here’s what that looks like:
What we’re looking for
Real, opinionated, first-person writing on the things women are actually talking about — health, aging, money, relationships, faith, career, humor, grief, reinvention, politics, the stuff nobody else wants to touch. Op-eds, personal essays, advice columns, and recurring columns are all welcome.
What you get
- A full byline on every piece, plus an author bio linking to your site, business, or social channels
- Promotion across our social channels when your piece publishes
- An established audience — the site draws hundreds of visitors a day already, so your writing isn’t starting from zero
- Full editorial freedom on topic and voice — we can edit lightly if needed.
How it works
- Write as often as you like — one piece a month is plenty to stay active, or pitch a recurring column if you want a regular spot
- No fee, no cost — this is an exposure-and-audience trade, same as it’s always been
- Pitch us a topic or just send a draft; we’ll get back to you fast
Ready to write?
Email us at [contact email] with a topic idea, a draft, or just “I want in” — we’ll take it from there.
Here Women Talk was founded in 2010 by Kay Van Hoesen on one simple rule: no topic is taboo. We intend to keep it that way.
