The Republican backed Israeli Prime Minister (Prime Idiot) Netanyahu comes out just before the elections and says that the USA must do more than just impose sanctions on Iran. That not going to war with Iran would be worse than letting them build nuclear weapons. Due to recent computer virus intrusions by the United States and its European allies into the Iranian nuclear computer programming, the confirmed deaths and defections of nuclear scientists, Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapon technology has been rendered useless for many years if not decades to come. Giving the sanctions against Iran time to diminish the influence of it’s government over the good people of Iran. Netanyahu says this is not a political ploy to get Romney elected. If you honestly believe that…well….kiss Romney’s ass and call yourself stupid. If we allow ourselves not to believe this, then there is only one other reason. Religious indifference and intolerance.
Iran is in the European communities backyard….not ours. The only direct threat from Iran is to Israel and the European countries, Russia and those countries of Eastern Asia. Any military solution is theirs to bear not the United States. The only threat to the United States is bringing these supposed nuclear weapons across our borders. The only reasoning that could possibly be surmised for our nation to become involved using our military, is the influence of the United States – Military Industrial Complex and its big money investors.
It has already been stated by the Republican leadership that they wish to go to war with Iran and Syria. The Republican leaders and their big money backers have no more intention then to create more wealth for themselves and the corporations that manufacture military hardware for enforcement of their beliefs in a “New World Order”on those that do not wish to participate in those beliefs. Have the citizens of United States not had enough of war and the deaths of thousands of American solders. The wounding of over 100 thousand more? The rich care nothing about this country or it’s citizens. They care only about bragging how much money they have accumulated and how much more they will accumulate should we continue this mindless attempt to control others through violent military means.
The Jewish ideology that the gentiles must submit to their demands, which is based entirely on religious beliefs. Beliefs that can not be proven by any other means then by saying that the limited writings, of long dead men, where inspirations from their mythical god. The obsession of supporting Israel is due largely to the brainwashing of humanity with, “We are the chosen people of our mythological god and this is the promised land”…..BULL SHIT!
I am fed up with sitting back and keeping silent because some people may say I am being anti-Semitic. I have no problem with how, where, when, what or why the Jewish people believe as they do. What I have a problem with, is the incessant belief they have, that the people of the United States have an obligation to protect the people of Israel. They chose to invade Palestine after WWII. They chose to put themselves in harms way. They chose to force the Arab world to except these actions. I do agree that the Jewish people deserve a country. I do not, however, agree that any other nation on earth should be held accountable for the protection for these actions.
Yes there are religious books, written by people, which we we have no historical support other than what they wrote. Books, we are to believe, that where written by people who had some special connection with their mythical “god”. Books and writings, that when analyzed, indicate the desire to control man through the fear of the unknown in their time. Threats of a violent end, an after death horrific existence, in some “mythical” after life. Intimidation through acts of violence toward, or the ostracizing of, those that do not follow their insane beliefs.
We are now seeing an increase in this same religious ideology to control and manipulate, not only our daily life and the personal choices we make, but also in our elections and ultimately in our government. They are trying to rewrite our nations Constitution with religious ideologies. Going against the core belief our fore fathers had, the incite to include wording, that prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion. Not an establishment of just a defined religious belief, but also the inclusion in are laws, any law based on these religious beliefs.
In conclusion:
- I for one, am tired of seeing our young men and women in the military, being sent off to some far land to fight against some other culture and it’s beliefs.
- I for one, am tired of seeing our young men and women in the military, return in caskets or horribly maimed.
- I for one, am tired of the lies, deceit and fear mongering from the rich and powerful. Lying about weapons of mass destruction. Deceit through the control of our media. Fear mongering by telling us that if we do not go to war then something terrible will happen to our nation.
- I for one, am tired of being told what religious beliefs I am to have and maintain. Beliefs that I may or my not enjoin with others.
- It is time for our political leaders to end the occupation of distant lands. It is time to bring all our military forces and weaponry home. Let our military, most especially our National Guard, protect our borders and ports of entry. Provide security for our infrastructure and energy producing facilities.
- It is time to put your religion and religious beliefs back into, your home, your place of worship. It is time to take the infusion of religion into our government and our politics and return to what truly made this nation great, the rule of law and equality.
Attempt to impose your religious beliefs into our government and it’s politics, I will fight you just as adamantly to keep it out.

Nice essay, Larry, and very timely. I, for one, am sick and tired of the mentality that Israel is akin to our 51st state. Any mention of logic here results in the ‘anti-semitic’ card being played. Well, let’s just say all religions (which ARE, in fact, based on myth, not reality) are given an equal right to exist, even if no respect has been earned. The Muslim faith, Jews, and Scientolgists all have their rightful place with those who choose myth-based reality. You are right. Bring all the troops home, and start building an economy based on the real needs of humanity.
Larry, I am educated, a Registered Nurse. I agree with everything you wrote, with the exception, of referring to a “mythical God”. I am a Christian, not a right wing conservative so called Christian who supports the teabaggers or the republican party. As a Christian and a Lutheran, I believe in God and his son. I also believe that my loving God is horrified by people who claim his name and pursue war, greed, neglect of this great country of ours and show contempt for the poor and disenfranchised. Jesus commanded us to care for one another and love one another as he loved us. I don’t hear any of that in the message of the war mongering republican party or the so-called Christians who support them. I to believe it is time to start building our own country’s infrastructure, invest in education, and our children, who are the future of our country. We absolutely cannot be the world’s policeman….we cannot continue sending our young men and women to fight other countries’ war. I agree that we have absolutely NO business in the Middle East. That culture has no history of freedom or democracy; and we cannot continue to send our young men and women to die trying to force it upon them. You’re right, the only people who profit from war is the military-industrial complex and the people who invest in them.
Sandra…one thing you will find in me is my firm belief that we all have the right to believe in what ever makes us comfortable. I respect everyone’s religious beliefs without question or purpose of mind. My reasoning for referencing “god” as I do is to keep from instilling any “one” god into the my articles. I would hope you agree that there are many “my god is better than your god” religions and believers in the world. This articulate means is best seen in my article where I referenced my thoughts toward the Jewish belief system….
I’d like to add that the American people are weary of war. We have no business meddling in the tribal affairs of the Middle East (which we do not understand) and the people doing all the fighting and dying aren’t the same people who are getting rich off of war. The Right screams about debt but won’t hesitate to heap more on at the expense of the poor and the middle class. If we start another war, then every member of Congress should be on the front lines first. Let them report back and let the rest of us know how it’s going…
You are so very right Carol. It is time for this nation to return to what made us great. The building from with-in. That vision the world once had, of a proud and self reliant society. A society that looked out for working class, culture building individuals. A society based on the corporations desire to care for their workers and the bottom line be damned. Where profit was accepted as what was left over, not what could be realized by downsizing, leveraging salary, denying benefits and outsourcing. A society where a worker could stand along side their employer with equal respect and dignity. Forward to the past when American companies and corporations offered up respect for the hard work and dedication of the workers with summer picnics and Christmas parties where all where welcomed and the management became the servants for the occasion.
It is time to go forward, back to a time of true posterity and nation building. Forward to a time when America had the lowest poverty and highest education rates.
Carol, I agree with you 100%!
