This weekend, after many long years, I will share my secret journey of having left home at the age of 13 to where I am today with a member of my immediate biological family who happens to be in the medical profession.
Why?
To finally answer their questions which range from why are you not now married to why are you not working where you once did.
“That” legal agreement I signed allows me to do so.
I kinda think tonight’s moon may have something to do with it, too. Not only that, but I think my new found voice has more than arrived and I’m tired of answering questions with a question or looking down or away when I can’t find the words to answer.
Some (immediate family) will be appalled, shocked, and find themselves at a loss for words. I am ready. It is time to break the silence and venture into yet another unknown.
Good luck, Beth. I admire your courage and internal fortitude. I’m glad to know you are finding your voice. It’s freeing. You’re in my heart. I’ll be thinking about you this weekend when you reveal your journey. xoxo ~Kay
Thank you. I did reveal my journey and that part went well! “They” were supportive and a little in shock. Due to conflicting schedules we had to postpone one on one Q&A time. This Saturday evening I will meet with them to continue the conversation.
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it very much!
